The Manifesto of Studies, approved by the Doctoral Programme Committee, contains:
- the list of courses offered as part of the educational offer;
- provisions relating to training, preparatory and/or supplementary activities;
- procedures for carrying out any laboratory, practical and internship activities, if included in the curriculum;
- procedures for conducting examinations and other assessments;
- procedures for recognising ECTS credits.
With regard to training credits: a) credits for institutional courses are detailed annually in the Manifesto of Studies and are valid for the year in which the course is attended; b) the approval of the Doctoral Programme Committee or the Executive Committee will be required for the recognition of credits obtained from courses organised by other PhD Programmes, research institutions or Universities (Master's Degree or Master's Programme).
It is compulsory to obtain 50% of the ECTS credits required for the reference cycle within the first year of the Programme.
The research credits required annually are equal to the difference between the 60 credits recognised annually and those dedicated to training.
The third year is mainly dedicated to completing the research and writing the thesis, which must be written in English and be original in nature. The scientific contributions contained therein may also derive from scientific collaboration activities.
