The Coordinator of the PhD Program is Antonio Lasalvia, MD, PhD, Associate Professor of Psychiatry.
His mandate expires on October 31, 2029.
The Coordinator performs the functions defined in Article 13 of the University Regulations on Doctoral Studies, which include the following responsibilities:
- Coordinating and organizing the educational and administrative activities of the PhD program;
- Convening and chairing the Doctoral Programme Committee (Collegio dei Docenti) and ensuring the proper implementation of its decisions;
- Authorizing PhD candidates, also through their supervisors, to undertake research activities or internships at partner universities or other institutions and research centres, for periods of less than six months;
- Reporting to the relevant administrative offices any unjustified absences of PhD candidates, for the purpose of suspending scholarship payments or initiating withdrawal procedures from the PhD program;
- Preparing a detailed annual report to be submitted to the University Evaluation Committee (Nucleo di Valutazione di Ateneo), summarizing the program’s progress in relation to the annual monitoring activities conducted by ANVUR;
- Appointing a Deputy Coordinator (Vice-Coordinator) to act in his place in the event of absence or impediment.
